School of Nursing

  • Established 1894, the School was associated with Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, and in 2008, sponsorship was transferred to JFK Medical Center.
  • In September 1971, an affiliation with Union County College was established.
  • Enrollment of over 400 students
  • Graduates an average of 70 - 80 students annually
  • Graduates are awarded a Diploma in Nursing by the School of Nursing and an Associate in Science Degree by Union County College. The Diploma entitles the graduate to complete the New Jersey Board of Nursing licensing examination (NCLEX-RN National Counsel Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses), and when successful, to use the title RN (Registered Nurse). The degree entitles the graduate to use the title AS (Associate in Science).
  • Articulation agreements with Kean University, Wagner College and Rutgers University for an upper division BSN program.

School of Radiography

  • Established in 1964 as a hospital-based program
  • In 1982, an affiliation with Union County College was established
  • In 2008, sponsorship was transferred to JFK Medical Center
  • Enrollment of 38-65 students
  • Graduates an average of 17 students annually
  • Graduates are awarded an Associate in Science Degree from Union County College and a Diploma in Radiography by the School of Radiography
  • Graduates are eligible to apply to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination in Radiography.
  • Credits transfer toward baccalaureate degree programs.

School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

  • Established in 2003 as a hospital-based sonography program.
  • In 2006, an affiliation with Union County College, was established
  • In 2008, sponsorship was transferred to JFK Medical Center
  • Enrollment of 39-55 students
  • Graduates an average of 13 students annually
  • Graduates are awarded an Associate in Science Degree from Union County College and a Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Graduates are eligible to apply to sit for the national examination of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Credits transfer toward baccalaureate degree programs.
